As a growing company, we are currently seeking an experienced Infotainment Systems Requirements Engineer Sr to join our team. As an Infotainment Systems Requirements Engineer Sr, you will be responsible for leading the definition and documentation of functional requirements for infotainment systems in collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will provide expertise in system analysis, validation, and verification, ensuring the delivery of high-quality infotainment systems that meet customer requirements.
General Activities: The Infotainment Systems Requirements Engineer can work either in physical engineering or a software engineering project; identifying specific deliverables and demands of a project, especially the specifications, timeline, and budget assignment. They work on documents such as the terms of references, project management briefs, and project design. To be able to accomplish these tasks, a requirements engineer needs to have a good grasp of technical writing and translating clients' needs into a working document.
• Lead the software/ hardware improvement and diagnosis of full-featured infotainment head units (radios) and connected systems.
• Perform software and/or hardware analysis.
• Find issues; root cause; and solve.
• Present action plans with status/risks to get and keep programs on track.
• Develop timelines and drive programs to meet.
• Manage Tier I suppliers and software releases and/or hardware designs and verify effectiveness of fix in field.
• Interface with stakeholders at all levels including vehicle teams, HMI, validation, requirement leads, technical specialists, leadership, and develop robust functional designs; to make well-analyzed decisions defining direction to drive quality.
Technical Skills: '• Experience with Infotainment Systems Engineering preferable Uconnect
• Knowledge of Requirements Documentation and Definition
• Knowledge of Validation practices
• Knowledge of Quality Methods and tools (Green Belt -- DFSS, SBT, 3L5Y)
• Knowledge of radio head unit software and hardware architectures and corresponding vehicle system architecture
• Experience with Bluetooth, USB, Ethernet/Wifi and telecommunications protocols.
• Knowledge of Apple CarPlay, Google Android Auto, Projection Technologies
• Experience with CAN (Canoe) bus
• High level of proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing)
• Ability to travel and interface with dealers and customers
