Component Specialist

Responsibilities Maintain the quality of mechanical components catalog used by EXFO; Review and approv specifications of components designed by R&D designers; Work closely with suppliers to make sure they are meeting EXFO specifications; Write and maintain quality inspection plans of incoming material; Communicate non-conformities to suppliers and work with them on corrective actions; Participate to cost reduction projects by qualifying new suppliers or working in continuous improvement projects with current suppliers; Monitor technology changes/evolutions in the machining, sheetmetal wrking, plastic injection molding industries and communicate them to EXFO's technical groups; Recommend new suppliers and technologies to to the R&D teams; Visit and audit suppliers; Qualifications Mechanial engineering degree (or equivalent experience); Excellent communication habilities; Fluent in Spanish and English (read and write) Capable of working in multiples mandates at the same time and good priority management; Leadership, teamwork and autonomy habilities; Willingness to travel within and outside Mexico;
