The role of a Commodity Buyer is to develop and deploy a commodity strategy to ensure supplier capabilitites and relationships meet business needs.
The role continues to select, develop, and pilot suppliers from the agreed supplier panel in order to achieve Program objectives.
The main missions of the role are to : Structure the building of the panel : participate in the definition and the implementation of the purchasing panel policy for assigned commodities, manage supplier selection according to Group criteria, identify and develop supply base in accordance with Faurecia footprint.Panel management : ensure a regular follow-up of the supplier performance in relation with the Supplier Quality Assurance Manager and implement a supplier optimization plan consistent with Divisions and in coordination with the Business Groups, ensure utilization of the panel by entire enterprise.Deliver productivity results for assigned commodities in alignment with budget through collaboration with series buyers.Develop and implement tools to improve productivity, processes, and reporting functions.Negotiate and implement general agreements with the strategic suppliers.Ensure the reporting of his or her activities following defined policies.Ratings :
o Minimum level of education : Engineering
o Language : Fluent English o At least 4 years of experience in the Automotive Industry (commodity stampings)
