Lead or senior levels of these positions may: - Handle escalated or more complex issues, - Coordinate team activities or those of agency contract staff, - Support supervisor or manager activities, - Support the design, review and implementation of processes and procedure"**General job description**:Under limited supervision performs the following activities:- Responsible for the movement of packages and documentation within FedEx facilities and/or customs/forwarders.- Maintains customs documentation well organized and properly filed.- Distributes relevant customs paperwork to appropriate FedEx departments, customs raters, and forwarders as required.- Receives customs releases and maintains adequate control as specified by customs regulations; scans all outgoing A.M. releases, ensuring proper packages are going out and improperly scanned and stickered packages (unreleased from customs) are not sent; and prepares in-bond transfers.- Performs sorting, baggage support at airport and station, and retrieves air freight from carriers as required- Pulls copy of AWBS of overages to ensure adjustments.- May be required to perform other duties as assigned**Minimum Requirements****Minimum education**- High School degree/Equivalent- Good English Skills**Minimum Experience**- Two (2) years of previous experience in international freight/cargo customs policies, procedures, rules, and laws preferred.- Knowledge of airport and customs clearance procedures preferred- Forklift handling experience- CRT experience preferred.Minimum Required skills:- Ability to lift 70 lbs. (32 kgs) and to maneuver any single package weighing up to 150 lbs. (68 kgs) with appropriate equipment.- Verifiable ability to capture data in different systems such as Office - Advanced Excel - and WMS / JDA / eGLS (25/35 WPM), data entry and / or general office skills- Personable and good written and verbal communication skills.
