Researches, ideates, designs, tests, validates and measures solutions to meet client needs and business goals through new and existing applications, using established best practices for software design and user experience.
Collaborates with product personnel, business stakeholders, technology representatives and various functions to define product strategy, goals and objectives, and to create/refine application requirements to achieve the product plan.
Creates navigation structures and information designs, and constructs prototypes, storyboards and mockups to effectively communicate designs to product management and development.
Works closely with technology representatives as products are being developed to ensure accuracy and quality.Performs role activities, e.g., researches, prototypes and designs software, independently and with minimal direction of the managerCreates intuitive user experiences for desktop and mobile platforms using proven innovation methods, such as user personas, journey mapping and Design ThinkingGuides product management and feature teams in defining functional interaction requirement specificationsCreates mockups and prototypes interaction designs, including user interaction models, information architectures and navigation models, wireframes and screen flowsPlans and executes research on mockups, prototypes and existing interfaces, analyzes study artifacts to create actionable findings, creates recommendations for improvement and iterates designs based on research recommendationsFacilitates design workshops, ideation sessions and client co-creation sessionsCommunicates and presents user needs and design solutions to key stakeholdersLeads the development of metrics that measure product success, ensures that the interface is measured properly through requirements and monitors client usage of software features.Education Required: Degree qualified in a discipline related to Human Computer Interactions, Graphic Design, Information Systems or equivalent work experience.Experience Required: 2 years in a user experience design role.Knowledge of design fundamentals including information design, visual design, industry UI standards for desktop, web-based and mobile applications, and has knowledge of usability best practices.Special Qualifications: Proficiency with wireframing, prototyping and/or interface design software, such as Figma, Sketch, Axure, Adobe XD or Balsamiq, and general knowledge of graphic design software, such as Adobe Photoshop.Certifications: Design-related professional certifications are helpful, but not required, such as Certified Usability Analyst, awarded by Human Factors International, or UX Certification, awarded by NN/g.Come as You Are Nasdaq is an equal opportunity employer.
