Job Summary
Provide equipment designs, component selections, and performance information for potential sales. Guide equipment orders through the pre-sale process through production release. Support management with KPI capture, monitoring and reporting.
Essential Functions
· Provide pre-sale technical support to sales team for customers to review, understand, and develop technical requirements.
· Analyze and determine engineering configurations and changes needed to fulfill customer's requirements for equipment.
· Review final equipment submittals for technical validity, overall solution design, and validation of equipment configurations with the customer and company representative.
· Provide technical planning and project management for assigned projects.
· Represent customer's interests throughout applications and manufacturing process.
· Provide costing estimates for special features and components that are required for specific projects.
· Coordinate the generation of submittal documentation and other project documentation.
Additional Responsibilities
· Assist with definition and implementation of customer witness testing, when required.
· Develop the skills to provide energy analysis and other total cost of ownership metrics for projects that require it.
· Review the submittals of other System Application Engineers and provide input feedback to correct unclear or incorrect information.
· Summarize assigned customer requests/issues for tracking and action.

Basic Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required.)
· BS degree in Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
· 5+ years of experience design and engineering for HVAC products
· Thorough understanding of psychrometric, fan technologies, direct expansion, chilled water, and evaporative cooling technologies.
· Ability to provide training and direction in developing skills within SAE Support Engineering group.
· Autodesk AutoCAD 2d skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point and Adobe Acrobat.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong organization skills, ability to multitask, detail oriented
