TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of the movement of material through the production cycle. They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis. The Team develops specifications for new contract orders as well as forecasts and plans for labor requirements. They provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may be asked to participate in higher level supplier performance reviews with the strategic sourcing team. They also monitor cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.**What will your day to day should look**:**Daily activities**:Review and analyze customer order requirements planned by the MRP.Release finished products for shipment.Create and release production orders.Communicate with Customer Service to establish agreements and coordinate timely delivery.Monitor production plan compliance.Plan changes by executing exception messages in the SAP system.Review short-term material availability.Monitor results in level meetings.Plan and manage inventory levels of manufactured parts, considering flow and space limitations.Collaborate with various departments related to the supply chain.Act as a focal point for priority determination with warehouse, manufacturing, and production.Maintain optimal inventory stock for the production plan.Confirm scheduled material pickups.Demand and capacity analysis.Review and complete assignments in the RTS (Request Tracking System).Create purchase orders based on exception messages in the SAP system, considering the latest material purchases for FAI requirement analysis.Review short reports.Communicate with suppliers to establish agreements and coordinate timely delivery.Coordinate with traffic and customs regarding the import plan.Monitor compliance with open purchase orders.Update and release purchase orders for invoices received from the supplier.Inventory analysis.Review and analyze Schedule Agreements & Quantity Contracts.**Periodic activities**:Development of production plan.Review and analysis of metrics for on-time deliveries and inventory.Action plans for metrics of on-time deliveries and inventory.Establish and follow up on assigned goals.Projection of loads and capacities for production.**Occasional activities**:Transfers (line or equipment migrations).Quality audits.Participation and follow-up in assigned continuous improvement projects.**Education**Industrial Engineer**Specific knowledge**:**Additional Skills**- Advanced English- SAP- Microsoft Office (Good level of Excel)- APICS (plus)- Lean Manufacturing**Technical competencies****(Team, specific tools)**:- SAP (Master data and logistics transactions)- VSM (Value Stream Mapping)- Problem-solving tools (5 Whys, root cause, 8D's, Ishikawa, etc.)**Competencies**:- Building Effective Teams- Managing and Measuring Work- Motivating Others- Values: Integrity, Accountability, Teamwork, Innovation- SET : Strategy, Execution, Talent (for managers)
