Sr. Buyer, Construction Projects

**Key Responsibilities**:Responsible of the procurement of all Capex investment such as (construction, equipment, machinery, automatization, packaging, process, etc.) - Spend ~30 M USD.Implement supply base strategy - Assess and develop suppliers to meet business needs and opportunities in all manufacturing sites and corporate offices were Capex needed.Establish & maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as Finance, department managers (e.g. maintenance, engineering, and R&D) and their teams to ensure understanding of their needs and to facilitate the appropriate level of challenge.Ensure effective risk management of the supply base, through robust contracts and monitoring of financial and other KPIs. Implement corrective actions as appropriate. Manage all related commercial, financial & ethical aspects of supply.Be the local champion of the implementation of the MGS Commercial global capital strategiesParticipate in team knowledge transfer - Collaborate with other Capital buyers to create synergies across countries and segments.Act as a point of contact and as representation of the team and MGS Commercial in all factoriesLead sourcing activities that include vendor selection, negotiation, contracts and supplier management.Assure and obtain Savings and Cash Release targets.Education/QualificationsCollege degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, otherExperience in CAPEX Buying, including civil construction.Procure to pay process experience or basic knowledge.Fluent in Spanish and EnglishSAP/Ariba knowledge is preferred.Contract law basic knowledgeKnowledge/ExperienceMust have strong analytical skills, understand, and anticipate consequences of macro-economic changes on business environment.Procurement experience is required.Quick learner with systems knowledge and experience (SAP, Microsoft Office, etc)Good Business AcumenGood communication skillsHighly effective interpersonal skillsResults oriented - comfortable setting and delivering against bold, stretch targets.Excellent language skills - English verbal and written, other languages such as Portuguese is a plus.
