Sourcing Specialist

OVERVIEW : Working as Full-time Sourcing Specialist, you will research and complete formal Requests for Quotes (RFQ's). Completing these RFQ's requires you to understand and interpret customer prints and work closely with sales, engineering, quality, suppliers / manufacturers and customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES : The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to :
o Researching and completing formal Requests for Quotes (RFQ's) from some of Fastenal Company's largest current and potential customers
o Working closely with the following groups : Fastenal Sales Teams, Fastenal Product Development Teams, Manufacturers and Customers
o Working on a team that is focused on MRO or OEM parts
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS :
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position :
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
o Work independently as well as in a team environment
o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented

o Ability to speak fluent Spanish and English
PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS :
o Possess or are working towards a Business related degree
o Prior experience in sales or a related industry
o Prior experience working with industrial products
o Possess a valid United States Visa
