**General Information**:- Country/Region- Mexico- Province/City- San Miguel de Allende, Gto.- Location- Rosewood San Miguel de Allende- Department- Food & Beverage - Services- Job Type- Full-time Permanent- Description-- RESPONSIBILITIES- Actively engage in service and lead with a hands-on approach- Take the lead in growing wine sales in the restaurants.- Maintain and update wine lists with 86's prior to every service.- Anticipate guest needs and maintain positive guest relations at all times.- Advise guests on wines based on their personal taste and food pairings.- Ensure wines are served at the right temperature and with the proper glassware.- Maintain pars and report order needs.- Help maintain the wine cellar, the beverage storeroom, and assist in monthly inventories.- Create and participate in staff wine tasting and educational opportunities.- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned station and service areas.- Complete opening side and closing side duties thoroughly and efficiently as assigned.- Model the company's culture, vision, mission and core values at all times.- REQUIREMENTS- Experience as a sommelier in fine dining or luxury resort preferred but not required.- CMS or WSET certifications or equivalent from another accredited wine institution.- Desire to learn about local Mexican history and culture.- Passionate about wine, food, and world class hospitality.- Warm, friendly and an excellent communicator.- Proficient in English and Spanish (Spoken and Writing).
