Senior Legal Manager

We are a rapidly-growing fintech start-up that provides innovative credit card solutions to our customers. We are seeking a Head of Legal to lead our legal function. Responsibilities: · Provide legal guidance and support to the business on a wide range of legal issues, including commercial contracts, data protection, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance. · Develop and implement legal strategies and policies to support the company's business objectives and mitigate legal risks. · Advise senior management on legal implications of business decisions and regulatory changes. · Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, vendors, and partners, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and best practices. · Manage external legal counsel and other legal service providers as needed. · Ensure the company's compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, including data protection, anti-bribery, and anti-corruption laws. · Develop and maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities and other key stakeholders. · Develop and deliver legal training programs to internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and operations teams. · Stay up-to-date with legal and regulatory developments in the fintech and credit card industries, and proactively advise the business on potential implications. Requirements: • 4 years of legal work experience preferably at a Fintech\big law firm\banking, with primary support focused on earlier stage start-ups and high growth companies; • Experience in-house at a start-up or high-growth company is highly desirable. • Strong knowledge of commercial law, data protection, and regulatory compliance. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate complex v legal concepts to non-lawyers. • Demonstrated ability to provide strategic legal advice and support to senior management. · Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. · Proficiency in legal research and analysis tools, and the ability to develop practical solutions to complex legal issues. · Fluent English J-18808-Ljbffr
