**About Paysafe**Paysafe is looking for a seasoned legal professional to join its global legal team in support of its activities in Mexico and all Latin America. While the focus will be on supporting the business and its leaders in Latin America, a great deal of interaction will occur with other global offices, therefore, excellent English skills will also be a must.The position is based in Mexico City, Mexico.**MAIN TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES**The main tasks and responsibilities are as follows:- Providing legal advice with a focus on contract, commercial, corporate and payment services law but also providing counseling to internal stakeholders on risks of various business strategies- Active management, drafting, negotiation, review and revision of contracts and terms & conditions in Spanish and English to support the growth of the Paysafe business- Support of regulatory initiatives (including tax matters and meeting with government regulators) in Latin America- Drafting and review of communications with business partners, consumers and public authorities- Assisting internal departments and project teams in achieving corporate objectives effectively and in compliance with applicable laws, procedures and policies (e.g., launch of new countries, product initiatives, marketing and sponsorships, conducting internal education)- Collaborating on and leading projects with other departments and functions to ensure compliance due to changes in applicable legal and regulatory requirements- Research and monitoring of laws in coordination with outside counsel in various jurisdictions typically covering such matters as anti-money laundering detection and prevention, currency and foreign exchange controls, banking regulations, licensing and other regulatory and legal matters- Dealing with litigation matters (consumer and commercial) and responding to external legal inquiries- Providing support on procurement, intercompany and corporate matters- Developing and implementing policies and procedures- Active collaboration within the Paysafe legal team**KEY COMPETENCIES****Education and Experience**- Degree in legal science or commercial law required; bar exam not required.- 4-8+ years' professional experience in an internationally active law firm or corporate legal department, with demonstrated legal expertise with successful results in one or more complex areas of the law (preferably engaged in the provision and/or regulation of financial services or e-commerce), commercial law/contractual law and general business law- Experience in dealing directly with business clients at all levels, both inside and outside of the organization, but in particular in counselling senior business clients- Experience of cross-border and multi-jurisdictional contracts**General Knowledge and Technical Skills**- Strong familiarity with financial industry and services regulation and/or e-commerce in Peru and Latin America preferred- Proficient with MS Office**Interpersonal Skills**- Proactive attitude, self-motivation- Ability to work independently and make both practical and timely decisions- Ability to manage multiple projects- Strong sense of urgency and confidentiality- A fast learner with highly developed analytical skills and a strong attention to detail- Results-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility- Hands-on mentality and an international mind-set- Collaborative working style**Why should you work for us?**- A promise to us to live the values**:Pioneering, Courageous, Open and Focused.** Our four values are at the heart of everything we do and inspire how we work together.- A **global community** of pioneers who want to impact the payment industry worldwide.- An international, **diverse and inclusive work** environment that incorporates people like you!- Many initiatives, such as **wellness evenings** and days without internal meetings to focus on what is important to you.- ** Paysafe Days** to celebrate achievements together during a festive global event.- A **one-day volunteer** assignment to support a cause you care about in your community.- International career and development opportunities if you are ready and open for that.
