**Requisition ID**: 60769ABOUT WHIRLPOOL CORPORATION**The team you will be a part of**:- The Electrical Engineering team designs, develops or coordinates development of components, small systems, quality systems, processes or materials.**This role in summary**:Integration of off the shelf solutions and/or cost and quality changes in current products. Strong failure mode analysis and capability proof of electrical system to deliver product leadership and deliver cost and quality leadership to the business. Seamless integration of final manufactured products from Concept through Production Validation that delivers product leadership through balanced product solutions that delight consumers and satisfy the needs of the business and stakeholders.**Your responsibilities will include**:Manage system integration of projects in Advanced Development Projects (ADP) and Production Development Projects (PDP)- Responsible for EES system level requirement generation, review and alignment with stakeholders.- Lead project scoping work, align right cost, quality target and schedule with stakeholders.- Ensure project development activities are completed on time, meeting all requirements, including cost, quality & performance targets to support the project plans and project execution- Responsible for system level design/cost/quality/time trade-offs and technical decision making for issue resolution within the project/product plan guardrails- Lead technical design reviews for project to provide an assessment of whether the project is within the architecture/project/product plan guardrails by working with key development team members (e.g. Subsystem teams, Verification & Validation Strategist, Project Leader) and by consulting with key architecture development team members when necessary (e.g. System Architect, Subsystem SMEs, Verification & Validation Strategist)- Responsible to drive full system validation through use of predictive validation methodologies in concept, design and product validation stages- Responsible for driving Product Leadership through the Whirlpool Product Development (WPD) process, including the following:- Technical Design Reviews to Ensure the project is delivering per the stakeholder requirements- Change management in place to ensure the changes during a project are properly tracked and comunicated to all the stakeholders- Drive simulation of virtual prototypes and build of physical prototypes per Verification & Validation Plan- Drive the development and closure of design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (dFMEA) action plans and updated Occurrence & Detection, based on Concept and Design Validation data and functional performance stacks**Minimum requirements**:- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.- Electrical engineering background (Hardware and Software).- 3 years of experience of project Magement & Technical Design Experience- Proven electronic projects development and execution experience- Project management- System design- System integration- Product Safety & Codes- Problem-solving approach- Critical Thinking approach Ability to work cross-functionally- Able to read electronics board schematics- Able to read Wiring Diagrams- Basic EMC/EMI understanding- Good communication skills- Good documentation writing skills- Technical review abilities- Leadership skills, ability to influence others- Manufacturing environment experience**Preferred skills and experiences**:- Base level: Exceptional problem solving approch with 6sigma (OPEX) certification ?- Ability to run through Electronic and Electrical System (EES) Whirlpool Product Development (WPD) process, SI functions and their interaction with EES subsystems- Base level: Systems Engineering knowledge and APQP- Experience using: Pugh matrix / decision matrix used to document the project trade-offs- Knowledge GAP's and Issues captured on A3Connect with us and learn more about Whirlpool CorporationSee what it's like to work at Whirlpool by visiting Whirlpool Careers.
