All associates must comply with our environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures and federal, state, and local regulations.**As a Quality AssuranceTechnician, you will be responsible to**:have the opportunity to assist in the development of supplier quality and supply base in Mexico, ensuring compliance with product and compliance requirements as part of a global supply chain focused on quality, continuous improvement, and service.**RESPONSIBLIITIES**:- Perform supplier assessments through product and system audits.- Onsite work at multiple project sites/suppliers- Maintain the supplier audit schedule per business requirements.- Prepare required reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities, including testing performance and audit results- Tracks and reports on the implementation of corrective actions- Identify Quality gaps by using process mapping and other applicable tools- Use all aspects of testing equipment to set up, perform, and report on all phases of product testing based on Product Engineering and Quality Engineer developed test plans.- Use statistical tools to identify and quantify quality problems. Ensures accurate documentation of problems.- Prepare and modify appropriate inspection/audit work instructions using pre-determined measurement**Qualifications**- Chemical, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering required- Bachelor degree- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing quality or supplier quality role preferred- Prior experience with wood, glass, plastic, steel, aluminum, or chemicals (polyurethane foam), finishing processes is a strong advantage- Minimum one-year experience in quality, laboratory or metrology work- Minimum one year of experience in a high speed manufacturing environment experience with accountability to metrics and goals preferred- Basic Knowledge of measurement tools such as calipers, verniers, optical comparators desired**Additional Information****At Fortune Brands Innovations, we support the overall health and wellness of our associates by offering comprehensive, competitive benefits that prioritize all aspects of wellbeing and provide flexibility for our teammates' unique needs.
