The candidate will provide sound legal advice and counsel in areas of procurement related legal issues to our procurement teams within Publicis Groupe and support of their daily operations.The key resposabilities:Draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of contracts (master service agreements, SaaS-cloud agreements, EULA, Statement of Work, etc.) with third party suppliers in various areas (including IT/Technology, travel related services (airlines, hotels), facility management, HR tools, professional services, media, marketing and production) taking into account the strategy, risk and mitigation analysis, internal reviews and in liaison with all subject matter experts in their various disciplines. Candidate is expected to manage day-to-day contract drafting and negotiation as an individual contributor.Work as a liaison with the various agencies legal teams including data privacy office and compliance team. Review and interpret contract language, applicable laws and regulations and effectively communicate to procurement teams. Work together with procurement teams to evaluate and advise on transactions they are entering into.Work in a high-paced department and multi-task many contracts in various stages of negotiation.Provide legal advice on an ongoing basis on other legal matters, including intellectual property, data privacy and compliance matters, and provide any assistance as required by the procurement/agencies supported.Identify legal, commercial, operational risks associated in each commercial contract and taking appropriate steps to resolve and mitigate the risks.Responsible for proper execution of contracts and managing a database/MIS of executed contracts.Stay abreast of legal and regulatory changes and developments affecting the Publicis agencies industries.Provide periodic training to procurementunits on key legal issues affecting their daily operations.Support in developing and improving templates, best practices and legal guidance where possible to improve efficiency of legal services to procurement teams.QualificationsExperience/Qualifications/Certifications3-5 years? experience practicing contract and commercial law in a reputable law firm, multinational corporation and/or public company.Degree in law from a recognized university and admitted practice in civil law jurisdiction (in Mexico, France or equivalent jurisdiction) is required.Law degree and admitted to practice in common law jurisdiction (in USA or equivalent jurisdiction) would be advantageous.Knowledge and SkillsUnderstanding of intellectual property issues; as well as data privacy regulations and regulatory compliance as they apply to license, IT/Technology and SaaS-cloud agreements is a plus.Good business judgment and negotiation skills with a capacity to make decisions and give advice, demonstrating a deep and practical understanding of overall business objectives and risk.Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, challenging and constantly changing environment.Good written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively and persuasively to varied audiences and stakeholders.Ability to develop partnerships and to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of our organization and externally.Creative, proactive, committed with ownership culture, results-oriented thinker with outstanding attention to detail.Curiosity and the desire and ability to grow and build expertise.Flexible, collaborative and strong team working skills, with willingness to take on a variety of work.Solid organizational and time management skills.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Ability to handle high-volume, multiple priorities and prioritise related issues.Ability to conduct research on legal subjects.
