Our Oracle Retail's Planning & Optimization Suite is a complete modern cloud based suite enabling retailers to effectively align their assortments, inventory investments and prices to their Customer's need and behavior. As a member of the Development/Engineering group, candidate will be responsible for crafting and developing hard-working, highly-scalable Database and cloud-native technologies providing rich user-experience that can handle high-volume of data. The candidate will be working closely with the Business/Functional teams, technical architects and platform teams to craft and develop database native SaaS application.Career Level - Career Level - Shown experience in crafting and developing highly scalable, highly available, high-volume backend and middle-tier applicationsKnowledge of database design principles and data modeling techniquesShown experience in developing, maintaining and debugging sophisticated PL/SQL packages Procedures and Functions.Strong SQL knowledge including tuning and fixing experienceStrong solid understanding of Oracle and PL/SQL features to leverage performance and latest Analytical capabilities of the Oracle Database capabilitiesUnderstanding of Data Modeling concepts and Database design conceptsExperienced in optimizing performance, understanding database execution plans, AWR reports and tuning of SQL for performance.Understanding of modern cloud infrastructures; ideally the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)Experience with application containerization, and ideally KubernetesUnderstanding of and experience in design and development of microservices and their supporting structuresFamiliarity with RESTful web services and API integrationExcellent understanding of Agile development methodologyExperience following a full lifecycle SDLC process, including creating technical designs, build and unit testing for sophisticated requirementsTechnical problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or collaborate in a team-oriented environment Good social skills and the ability to produce high-quality work you're doing 6-10 years of experience relevant to the functional area Prefer Retail software development experienceBS or MS degree or equivalent relevant to functional area
