Planner Buyer

**Planner / Buyer Job Summary****Planner / Buyer Duties and Responsibilities**- Maintain a complete, accurate and updated Item Master- Create an MRP report and MPS for the plants in NY and Juarez Mexico- Negotiate better prices and terms with vendors- Issue Purchase Orders to vendors for direct materials and MRO- Liaise with domestic and foreign vendors and transportation partners to determine ideal scheduling and timelines necessary to fulfill customer requirements in the most cost effective way- Develop contingency plans to account for temporary materials or transportation disruption- Maintain optimal level inventories to maximize cash flow while insuring no interruptions on supply- Maintain a materials cost reduction program- Work with production managers in NY and Juarez Mexico on the execution of the productions plans**Planner / Buyer Requirements and Qualifications**- Bachelor's degree in business management, logistics, or a relevant field- Experience with materials and production planning, vendor relationship management, and forecasting- Perfect understanding of inventory management concepts- Strong proficiency with ERP software and spreadsheets- Fully Bilingual English/Spanish- Attention to detail- Excellent communication and presentation skills
