Otc Sales Analyst

Job Summary:The Royalty Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Senior Royalty Analyst(s) of the Sales Reporting department with communication, data analysis, business process improvements, and special projects as directed by management.Job Responsibilities:Responsibility for Ancillary Income processing and as well strategic project initiativesReview and Timely Resolution system pending and validation issues including root cause analysisProvide accurate, impactful and timely query review and management reportingCollaborate with onshore and offshore data quality team(s)Reconcile various Account Receivable and Third Party Liability account balances on the sub ledger, including the preparation of invoices and credit memosProactively identify strategic opportunities and address them in a cross consumer fashionOngoing interaction with management regarding royalty reporting concernsIdentify, communicate, and resolve inaccuracies and/or discrepancies between reporting received and the data stored within Sony Music's worldwide databasesDesign and implement strategies to improve team productivitySocialization with stakeholders on key reporting items and key policy itemsAssist management throughout monthly close processesSpecial projects as directedJob Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related degree / work experienceExperience in the music industry or other entertainment field strongly preferredDetail oriented individual with strong organizational and leadership skillsAbility to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and manage time productivelyStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to analyze and review information from several different sources (corporate systems)Prior experience with Royalty Systems and/or Sales Systems would be preferredCapable of working independently, as well as in a team environmentStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
