Purpose of Position:Serve as SCADA Engineer for the Corning Optical Communications Division Engineering team driving new automation equipment and system introductions, process improvements and cost reduction projects.Responsibilities:Design, document, implement, and maintain essential Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems for automated manufacturing equipment:Interface automated manufacturing equipment with plant information systems (MES):Provide appropriate and timely technical advice on matters relating to SCADA systems and manufacturing data systems:Providing engineering technical expertise to ensure the operational reliability of SCADA systems:Work with automation equipment vendors to design/document equipment interface specifications:Solicit and document Voice of Customer from manufacturing sites:Collaborate with Process engineering to determine and provide process data to data historians at appropriate time intervals:Individual must be capable of executing project assignments, in a team:based environment, with mínimal supervision.Qualification:Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent.:Able to travel globally (United States, Poland, and China at a minimum)stylelist:style:type:circle:Valid passport, titulo, and
