TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.**What your background should look like**:Tasks Summary & ResponsibilitiesDirect lead of Strategic Sourcing Supervisor as well as Strategic Sourcing Analyst, driving Strategy within the team and focus on talent development.Support development of Commodity Strategy and align expectations from the Business. Drive strong cooperation with Strategic Sourcing Analysts, Supplier Quality and Supply Chain Management for improved supplier performance.Support and lead discussions regarding current supplier base and how it fits business currently, as well as supply base development to align future business needs. Create forums to review commodity strategy, relevant product sourcing strategy, including biding, awarding, sourcing, and contracting of new suppliers.Focus on Continuous Improvement and collaborate with Business Process Analyst to identify opportunities for improvement and support implementation of enhanced process within the team.Gives support with Supplier escalation issues involving pricing, delivery, in line with the Procurement Escalation Process.Provide support to the team by coordinating and leading preparation of negotiations with suppliers, including solution of contractual issues and providing MOQ and lead-time relevant information to purchasing team members. PIA process super userLead reviews to track team performance and align resources based on business conditions.
