MATERIALS CONTROL SUPERVISOR OBJECTIVE: Assures the procurement of material for adequate flow of components to the production area and the on time shipment of finish products to fulfill customer orders. Maintains adequate control of inventory for the company. MAIN FUNCTIONS: Assures the Supply and the adequate flow of material to comply with the Customer's Requirements.Supervises the Materials Control Staff and assigns tasks to ensure a continuous workflow.Supervises the different Warehouses and Controls the Flow of Materials and Finished GoodsSchedules Deliveries based on Production Forecasts, Market Conditions, Material Substitutions,Production Line as well as Storage and Handling Capacities.Audits Material Lists for compliance to the Company's Standard Practices in regards to the use of Partsand Materials.Prepares and/or Authorizes timely Requisitions to the Purchasing Department for Raw Materials andParts.Expedites Purchases that are delayed or in Response to Changes in the Production Plan.Develops, Modifies and Maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).Appraises the Performance of Subordinates and Recommends the appropriate Development Plans.REPORTS TO: Site Fabrication Manager JOB POSITIONS THAT CAN REPORT DIRECTLY: Warehouse Leader, Materials Planner, Production Control Planner NUMBER OF SUBORDINATES THAT REPORT DIRECTLY: 4 to 6 (Avg. 5). EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Professional Degree (Industrial Engineer or otherEngineering Degree desirable with APICSCertification or a Certificate Program in MaterialsManagement)Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt desiredEXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 3 to 5 years within Inventory / Warehouse Control Systems.LEVEL OF ENGLISH FLUENCY: 4.- Advanced (Reading and Writing that allow fluidPresentations and/or Participation inNegotiation Processes).COMPUTER USAGE: 3.- Intermediate (Use of OFFICE: Word, Excel, Power Point,Etc.) andApplication ProgramsERP, MS Project, VISIO, etc.SKILLS: Requires Ability to work effectivelywith remote teams.Proven experience with materials management and warehouseconcepts.Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills.Possesses strong analytical, planning, and project management skills.Ability to work with equipment and maintain accurate documentation records.
