Learn to be a trusted advisor to customers The Major Account Executive is responsible for the strategic objective of increasing revenue generation by selling into the whitespace within their assigned territory through enterprise prospects and named existing accounts to enable them to become more successful, profitable and secure online.
As a Major Account Executive- New Business Acquisition, you will be responsible for:
Developing a strategic sales plan, account plans to maximize the territory opportunities through existing customer revenue growth. Acting as the primary, trusted point of contact to key customer stakeholders, building relationship and customer success Partnering with sales engineers, internal support resources and channel partners to ensure consultative engagement with prospects Utilizing marketing resources to create/manage a high volume sales pipeline Communicating effectively with all levels of prospective buyers and internally at Akamai Driving product development and Go to Market initiatives, establishing Akamai as a Cloud Computing leader. Do what you love To be successful in this role you will:
Have 7 years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree in Business, Economics,Computer Science or its equivalent. Have experience in selling enterprise-class technology software, SaaS, cyber security, Cloud Computing and internet-based technology solutions. Have relevant sales experience working with new and existing business. Have experience selling into strategic accounts in Colombia, Peru and Ecuador. Have a proven track record in over-achieving quarterly and annual quota and successfully executing complex sales cycles Have experience as a hunter in the Financial Services Industry, Federal Government or High Tech companies.
