CIMMYT is seeking a proactive, innovative, and self-motivated professional for the position of Training Coordinator to detect the training needs of agricultural advisors, farmers, decision-makers of the agricultural innovation system in the Sustainable Agrifood Systems (SAS) of CIMMYT.
The positions will be based at CIMMYT headquarter in Texcoco, near Mexico City.
Specific duties: Plan, coordinate, execute and evaluate the strategy of specific courses working together with local course managers and coordinators offering andragogic recommendations for the continuous improvement of the training strategy.Detect the training needs of agricultural advisors, farmers, decision-makers, and other agents of the agricultural innovation system.Identify potential collaborators (universities, research institutions, private partners, etc.) for training activities.Collect data and prepare reports on training events and integrate the information into reports for different donors.Contribute to the documentation and systematization of capacity building processes.Contribute to the implementation of the strategy for monitoring and evaluating training activities.Contribute to the design and development of e-learning courses.Coordinate the Certified Sustainable Agriculture Technician course at LATAM level.Perform other duties that may be assigned by supervisor from time to timeBachelor's degree in communications, administration, psychology, sociology, or equivalent technical degree.Basic knowledge of protocols and administrative and/or operational procedures of the research support function.Basic supervisory knowledge.Advanced level in MS Office, Excel, and Power Point.
