Head of Investment Projects Sourcing Americas Job Title: Head of Investment Projects Sourcing Americas Position located in US (any site) Your Role: AsHead of Investment Projects SourcingAmericas, your mission is to achieve Sourcing execution excellence and investment project success for any technical investment larger than 2 m€ for each business sector in the Americas region (mainly in the US, but also in Brazil, Mexico, and Canada). The supplier market scope of Investment Projects Sourcing spans across all 3rd party needs in an investment project including sourcing of all architecture & engineering services, construction, and installation as well as all lab, infrastructure, and production equipment needs. This includes but is not limited to: Leading and developing a team of 7 Sourcing Manager Experts (located in St. Louis and Burlington). On top, coordinating and deploying temporary staff and 3rd party external Sourcing contractors. Ensuring early involvement and close partnering with all local and investment project team stakeholders in a very fragmented and heterogenous site landscape. Leading own sourcing initiatives (technical investment projects) and conducting internal and external spend and market analyses, identify opportunities, develop category strategies, lead sourcing teams, conduct tenders, negotiate contracts, and manage key supplier relationships. Understanding key business drivers through global Business Partners and local stakeholder partnering and ensuring that value to each business sector is being maximized while ensuring cross-business sector bundled lever, expertise, and knowledge through execution excellence. You will develop integrated strategies based on global guidance and local/regional drivers, procedures, sustainable cost improvement processes, and transparent reporting to ensure process excellence and maximum value to the business. The role holder is member of the corporate Investment Projects Sourcing leadership team and strongly collaborates with the other leadership team members (Global Business Partners and Category Leads as well as other Regional Heads) as well as every Investment Projects Sourcing Manager worldwide. The role, located in St. Louis, US, reports to the Head ofInvestment Projects Sourcing. Who you are: You are an energetic, stress resistant, flexible team player and leader capable of forming strong relationships throughout the entire organization, in addition to successfully leveraging resources, processes and tools to maximize value to the business. Requirements: Master's degree in relevant areas (Business, Engineering). more than 10 yearsof experience instrategic sourcing/category management within complex stakeholder landscapes, conducting cross-functional (Sourcing) projects and negotiating contracts in Investment Project Sourcing and/or related areas of indirect spend. High proficiency in coordination, delegation and prioritization. Conflict resolution and negotiation skills. Excellent communication skills, politically persuasive, also with top management and executive leaders Demonstrated skills in collaboration, business partnering and stakeholder management. Strategy development and process excellence experience in complex landscapes. Proven ability to manage change, ability to work across boundaries and borders, and strong decision making. Broad knowledge of strategic sourcing processes. This knowledge should include, but is not limited to: Lead strategic sourcing initiatives with business partners for specific functional areas. Project management skills to optimize Sourcing landscape, effectiveness and efficiency as well as being active in technical investment projects. This includes triaging, coordinating/assigning projects, completing administrative tasks, tenders, negotiations and ensuring compliance in a complex business landscape. Intercultural experiences due to heavy interactions across Americas, Europe and Asia. Available from early morning onwards (from 6 am CST / 7 am EST) to enable meetings with Asian and European colleagues Availability to domestically and internationally travel at around 10-20%. Working hours flexibility to accommodate regular meetings in the following time zones: US (all time zones), Europe. Other time zones may be required sometimes. Language skills in English.
