MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead local Purchasing Team
Buyer responsibility for Capital Equipment (North America), Machined Products (North America), Outside Processing (Mexico) + others as required
Formulate annual plan and prepare month end reports along with general reports as required
Responsible to meet Purchasing Targets in Mexico Operations
ROLES
Supervise local Purchasing Team and manage the day to day activities. Ensure administration of data time entry, approvals for leave etc. are completed in a timely manner. Ensure that MbO are completed and tracked. Review that Plant Targets are met and that any reports are generated.
Perform normal buyer responsibilities for set Commodities. On specific commodities the responsibility is for Celaya and Marinette (WI). This will include; send Benchmark RFQ's, Raise Contracts and Purchase Orders as required, Negotiaiton with suppliers, Responsibility for specific commodities as defined by Suply Chain Director.
Formulate a plan to achieve Savings Targets as defined for the Department. Generate Business Intelligence reports, SAP Reports and Power-point presentaitons as required depending on specific Task. Track the monthly activity through to achieving the Annual Plan
Specifically meet the Mexico savings Target for each plant. In additoin there may be some specific non-purchasing Targets that will require responsibility. This may include, but not in entirity, stock reduction and internal plant improvments leading to site savings.
