We are looking for an Engineering Manager to help grow and manage our engineering organization. This individual will be responsible for providing technical expertise and oversight in the delivery of key product features and design, ensuring best practices and code quality from the engineers that they manage, and drive planning and organization to set their team up for success.
Responsibilities : Provide support for teams by facilitating design sessions and providing technical expertise
Own the sprint planning and prioritization for the work the team does, that aligns with resource allocation and commitment goals
Perform regular one-on-ones to provide feedback and goals to help foster growth
Oversee and enforce defined engineering and product processes within the team. Code reviews, test-driven design, software architecture planning, agile ceremonies, etc.
Assist in the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of engineering talent
Collaborate with engineering leadership to identify areas for improvement and key initiatives, and provide support in executing those initiatives
Be a champion for industry standard best practices
Required experience & skills :
2+ years experience in an engineering leadership role
8+ years experience working with teams to deliver engineering solutions
Demonstrated software architecture design experience
Solid technical documentation ability
Strong understanding of scrum and agile methodology
Effective leadership and mentoring ability
Bonus skills : Ruby on Rails
Ruby on Rails
ReactJS
MySQL, Redis, MongoDB
OAuth, SAML, OIDC
Experience with AWS, specifically : EC2, ECR, S3, Fargate, RDS

Required education :
BS in Computer Science / Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience
