**Job responsibilities/Essential Functions, including but not limited to the following**:- Maintain monthly forecast models by projecting spend on IT renewals.- Analyze budget and forecast variances, explain and resolve fluctuations between forecast and actual- Report to IT Leadership and Accounting forecast and budget variances in a clear and succinct manner- Works with all levels of IT Management Team to manage IT renewal expenses including calendar tracking renewals, SharePoint on line for tracking forecast vs actuals vs budget for $26M in renewals- Performs period-end close activities including the reviews of expense accrual for all IT renewal categories (Software Maintenance, Hardware Maintenance and Subscriptions (software, cellular, wireline, etc)- Facilities gathering from all stakeholders the data for the annual IT budgeting process, both IT renewals. Assist with preparation of budgets/forecasts for cost centers.- Monitors key financial performance measures. Ensures monthly forecast vs actuals is +/- 5% by accurately forecasting, accruing for services received and ensuring invoices are paid timely.- Prepares, analyzes, and interprets financial and non financial operating data for the assigned area. Such reporting, analysis and interpretation may include cost analysis, vendor analysis, hardware/software spend analysis, Keep the Lights On spend analysis and any other ad-hoc analysis of interest to management.- Researches, develops and supports cost control initiatives for IT.- Collaborates with Project Managers, Departmental Managers, Directors and VPs.- Performs root cause analysis of problem areas and recommends improvements- Recommends and communicates improvement opportunities to PMs, Managers and senior leadership.- Leverages financial and project toolsets and techniques for improvement- **Tools**: Microsoft Excel, SharePoint Online, Planner and PowerBI reports and Dashboards- Assists the corporate accounting function with matters related to the annual audit, contract audits and income tax matters, as required.- Establish a repository of lessons learned and best practices.**Preferred Education**:- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Business Administration, or similar area of study, with five or more years of previous experience.**Required/Preferred Certifications**:- None**Required Professional Experience**:- 3-5 years in accounting/AR/AP functions preferably in IT.**Required Languages**:- English**Responsible for Budget**:- Monitors and reviews budget, forecast and actuals for $26M in expenditures based on training to look for red flags**Required Competencies**:- Self-starter who is able to work independently while supporting the needs of the team- Excellent oral and written communication skills- Strong decision making skills**Knowledge/Skills**:- Strong Excel skills. Excellent communication skills required to interface with Directors and Managers. SharePoint skills required, with knowledge on how to build/administer SharePoint sites and SharePoint workflow processes preferred. Problem solving skills, Ability to clearly articulate financial issues and concerns and recommend solutions to management.
