Qualifications
Bachelors degree BSc in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Metallurgy or equivalent skills and experience required.Minimum 5 years in engineering management, preferably in the electronics manufacturing or EMS industry, with experience in high mixlowmid volume production of PCBAs and Box Build Products.Strong technical background with expertise in electronic product design, manufacturing processes, maintenance and quality management systems.Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and objectives.Experience with assembly process evaluation, control, and validation, PFMEA, SPC, and first article process controls, Design of Experiments DOE, Design for Manufacturability DFM.Knowledge of Manufacturing Process Management Software Program Applications, Computer Aided Design CAD or similar programs is highly desirable.Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements ex., ISO 9001, IPC standards, etc.Experience with new product introduction NPIs processes and change management development, industrialization, or similar.Strong product knowledge, with adequate understanding of business processes including development, commercial and supply chain considerations.Strong analytical, problem solving and decisionmaking skills.Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with a proven track record of effectively communicating ideas and proposals to others.Proficient in MS Office applications.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, other continuous improvement tools is a plus.Fluent in Spanish and English languages, both written and verbal is a mandatory requirement for consideration of this opportunity.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the engineering and maintenance team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the teams success and professional growth.Develop and implement engineering strategies to meet project deadlines, quality standards, and customer requirements.Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including production, supply chain, and quality assurance to drive continuous improvement and optimize manufacturing processes.Oversee the design and development of new products, ensuring adherence to specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.Coordinate with customers to understand their technical requirements, provide engineering support, and address any concerns or issues.Manage engineering projects from conception to completion, including resource allocation, budget management, and timeline tracking.Drive innovation and technology adoption by staying informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.Provides guidance and oversight in development and execution of plant renovations and expansions coordinates outside contractors and vendors as it pertains to the engineering and maintenance teams.Oversees and manages maintenance programs, activities, and responsibilities of the site.Ensures compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and guidelines within Mexicos legislative requirements and follows up with any violations with appropriate actions to resolve the matter as expediently as possible.Prepares and implements the Engineering and Maintenance departmental budget in collaboration with the General Manager.Drive and implement best practices and engineering excellence through new product development, technology, and leadership to meet and exceed both new and existing customer expectations in our focused marketsGuide the team to support all aspects of new product development to ensure quality, cost and schedule are metConsult and negotiate with clients to prepare specifications, explain proposals, and present engineering reports and findingsManage all engineering functions across both process and technical control including SMT, Process, Maintenance, Product and Test EngineeringDrive improvements in manufacturing process through Lean methodologiesEstimate and propose budgets for various engineering projects in collaboration with the General Managers of both Mexico and Markham sites.Manage all aspects of the Engineering team development including recruitment, coaching, trainingFind and implement ways to improve costefficiency and quality through automation and continuous improvementMaintain and enhance team competences with new manufacturing and design trends.Refine all engineering processes and procedures including NPI, ECO, etc. to drive continuous improvementCoordinate to design and implement DfX processes.Manage CAPEX planning, new machine acquisition and training.Bolsa de trabajo México ofrecemos puesto de Engineering Manager para el sector de Ingenieria en la empresa International Manufactuing solutions operaciones de Juárez.
