Purpose Statement: To perform engineering design services and other related product development and/or product commercialization support services.
Key Job Accountabilities: Regarded as a "go to" technical specialist, leader and mentor within their engineering discipline; and/or regarded as a cross-discipline leader and mentor for product development. Achieves in all phases of the full product realization process, as it applies to their role. Serves as a technical and/or project team lead providing technical guidance, controlling scope, schedule, budget and ensuring overall technical success on small to mid-size projects. Leads local continuous improvement activities associated with their engineering discipline and/or project-level tools or processes. Provides Customer Service leadership in project technical discussions, business development and proposal creation. Additional Accountabilities: Effectively perform all of the Job Accountabilities and Functions of an Engineer Senior. Leads the evaluation and improvement of processes, tools, and methodologies using Lean Sigma concepts and tools to ensure best practices are used throughout the functional group and the design center. Education/Experience Qualifications: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required; a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or higher is preferred. Eight (8) years of related experience is required; Eight (8) or more years of related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.
