The ER CoE does this by being accessible and agile; fact-based in approach; global in principle and local in solution; proactive, pragmatic and risk-appropriate. As a member of the ER CoE reporting to the Global Head of ER, the ER Director supports the delivery of the people strategy in the country or multiple countries by providing technical ER knowledge and collaborating with HR and in region as well as with ER colleagues globally to deliver an ER program that is fit for purpose for assigned country (countries). Major Responsibilities of the Role Provide advice and risk mitigation strategies for complex employee issues and concerns (both individual and collective) Provide timely and balanced investigations of employee issues. Provide technical advice on business restructures Partner with country and/or regional HRBPs to engage with and act as an advisor/expert about employee representative bodies in region Provide regional/country perspective on global policy initiatives including localization requirements Identify and leverage opportunities to harmonize divisional policies within countries in region to ensure a consistent offering, where possible Engage effectively with stakeholders to identify and address their concerns regarding ER initiatives; develop robust project and communication plans Ensure ER alignment with other efforts across HR, divisions and/or the company Qualifications (Critical Competencies and Relevant Experience) Legal degree preferably with a concentration or solid experience in employment law and practices.
