Provides assistance to the Anderson EHS Manager for the development and implementation of risk reduction solutions, safety best practices, and continuous improvements to drive to zero injuries. Ensures strict compliance with national, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards.POSITION SUMMARYResponsible for assistance in planning, implementing, and applying local Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs, projects, and initiatives to maintain compliance and promote a culture of safety at the Vertiv Anderson facility. Provides assistance to the Anderson EHS Manager for the development and implementation of risk reduction solutions, safety best practices, and continuous improvements to drive to zero injuries. Ensures strict compliance with national, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards.Responsibilities:Establish, maintain, and promote safety as a Vertiv core value and drive a positive safety cultureAssists in the resolutions of a wide scope of EHS-related situationsMaintain data collection and reporting systems for EHS metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs)Assists with analysis of metrics and ways to improve safety systems, policies, and programsCoordinate EHS metrics and best practices with the Vertiv Operating System (VOS)Ensure new equipment, machines, workstations, and assembly lines are implemented following all applicable safety and environmental regulatory requirements and Vertiv best practicesProvide guidance and oversight for the collection, sharing, and implementation of best practices throughout the facilityAdvise the EHS Manager on facility risks, incidents, actions, programs, and policiesEstablish, monitor, enforce, and improve EHS systems, programs, policies, and procedures to reduce or eliminate risk by implementation of prevention systemsConduct safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments in conjunction with applicable safety programs and regulatory requirementsAssist with employee safety committee, safety suggestion program, and safety promotional activitiesEvaluate, develop, and implement required EHS training for employeesMaintain site safety records, such as Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Job Hazard Analyses (JSA), safety training recordsMaintain incident and injury records and logs as required by OSHA and VertivEnsure work areas are ergonomically correctInterface with all levels of the organization for safety engagement and complianceConduct incident investigations to determine root causes and implement corrective actionsAssist with Workers’ Compensation claims management or equivalent in mexicoHave a strong working knowledge of all manufacturing safety requirements, including machine guarding, welding and brazing, powder coat and autophoretic painting, powered industrial vehicles, material storage, loading docks, electrical test facilities, and assembly line operationsManage and support the Emergency and Crisis Management Response Program and local Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT)Manage the site contractor safety program to ensure contractor compliance with Vertiv rulesPerform other related duties as neededNormal work week is day shift Monday-Friday, but some after-hours and weekend work may be required for off-shift training, emergencies, or other special situationsSome travel may be required for training and cross-facility inspections and auditsEducation and Experience:­­­­­­­­­Bachelor’s Degree as Industrial Engineer, Chemical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or equivalent or equivalent qualification of education and experienceA minimum of 3-5 years EHS experience in manufacturing operations or equivalentBroad knowledge of manufacturing facility regulatory compliance requirementsDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff.Ability to communicate in English verbally and written.Ability to lead teams and participate as team player.English written and fluent speaking is required for daily calls and reports.The successful candidate will reflect and embrace Vertiv’s Values and Behaviors:OUR VALUESActing Like an OwnerAssuming Positive intent in all employee interactionsBeing passionate about your workChallenging yourself in personal developmentBeing tireless in exceeding customer expectationsAssisting others to be successful as a teamOwning our own mistakes quicklyTalking with people and NOT about themCreating a culture where people can be their bestOUR BEHAVIORSBe self-aware and learnEmbrace the customer experienceThink and act broadlyDrive change and innovationLeverage diversity for organization effectivenessFoster collaborative relationshipsTake intelligent risksNivel de educación deseada:Superior - tituladoNivel de experiencia deseada:Nivel ExpertoFunción departamental:Manufactura / OperacionesIndustria:Fabricación Eléctrica / ElectrónicaHabilidades:EHS ExperienceBases de Datos.Bilingue
