**The Role**: Editor, Quality & Digital (Q&D), Americas**T he Team**: The Quality & Digital Editing Team ("Q&D team") is a global group of editors tasked with ensuring content generated by S&P Global Commodity Insights (CI) market and news reporters meets our high editorial standards. The team drives long-term improvement and excellence, playing a central role in coaching and mentoring reporters in their journey to becoming strong content creators. You will sit within the Q&D team, which is part of the wider news team at CI, working with global commodity editors and content creators in a real-time publishing environment, editing news stories, market commentaries / rationales, and thought leadership reports, among others.**The Impact**: To ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to CI's News E ssentials and house style.**What's in it for y ou**: This role offers the opportunity to learn about the many commodity markets CI covers, as well as various types of content we create. You'll play a central role in ensuring CI content meets the highest editorial standards, is free of errors and libel risk, and is structured to have maximum impact. You'll develop strong written and spoken communication skills, digital and visualization skills and will learn to work within tight deadlines with a global mindset.**Responsibilities**:Edit a high volume of wide-ranging, complex, often sensitive content, at speed and under pressureEnsure all content meets CI's News Essentials principles and house styleSend content back for rework with constructive feedback when neededEnsure all content is market relevant, accurate, legally compliant, and conciseDisplay strong degree of flexibility while working under pressureWork a late r US shift for handover to editors in AsiaSupport editing workflow during US public holidays**What We're Looking For**:**Basic qualifications**:A Bachelor's Degree in Journalism or English Language/Literature or Communication and Publishing or Business/and FinanceMinimum 3-4 years of experience in news reporting/and or editingUnderstanding of journalistic best practices and media lawsExcellent verbal and written English-language skillsAttention to detail and good multitasking skillsAbility to act both independently and as part of a teamExcellent interpersonal skills -- must work harmoniously with other editors across regions and time zones**Preferred qualifications**:Prior experience working as an editor, particularly for a financial publication or a real-time news wire, is preferredWorking knowledge of energy and commodity markets will be very advantageousProficiency in desktop publishing software, different types of content management systems, data visu alization and working knowledge of social media posting and publishing is a plusHigh degree of literacy and numeracy is a plus**Grade /Level ( relevant for internal applicants only )**: 9**The Location**: Mexico City, Mexico**About Company Statement**:S&P Global deliver s essential intelligence that powers decision making.
