Join a team recognized for leadership, innovation and diversityAs a Director ofPurchasing here at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in leading a groupof 40 buyers in managing suppliers and ensuring efficient procurementprocesses. You will be responsible for overseeing and directing theorganization's purchasing activities at a strategic level, driving cost-effectiveness,and strategic alignment within the procurement function. Your leadership andexpertise will contribute to the overall operational excellence and efficiencyof our supply chain. You will report directly to our 1 and you will work out ofour Monterrey, Mexico location on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, youwill have a significant impact on our supplier management and procurementoperations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services. Youwill be responsible for identifying and qualifying new suppliers, negotiatingcontracts, and implementing supplier development programs. Your strategicacumen in procurement and purchasing will be instrumental in steering theorganization toward efficient and cost-effective operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and executea comprehensive procurement strategy that aligns with the organization's goals,ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and supplier diversity.
• Oversee purchasingactivities, including supplier selection, negotiations, contract management,and delivery, ensuring project goals are met within scope, budget, andtimeline.
• Lead and mentor ateam of 40 buyers, ensuring their growth and the successful execution ofprocurement projects.
• Identify andevaluate potential suppliers, conduct due diligence, and negotiate terms tosecure cost-effective and high-quality purchases.
• Monitor and control procurement costs, seekcost-saving opportunities, negotiate favorable terms, and optimize resourceallocation.
• Foster and maintainstrategic relationships with suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure areliable and responsive supply chain, addressing concerns and resolving issues.
• Ensure that allprocurement activities adhere to relevant regulations, compliance standards,and internal policies, maintaining accurate and organized records.
• Establish andenforce quality control standards in procurement processes, conducting regularinspections and performance assessments.
• Manage theprocurement budget, allocate resources efficiently, and seek cost-effectivesolutions while maintaining quality standards.
• Leverage technologysolutions, such as procurement software and analytics, to enhance procurementprocesses, monitoring, and reporting.YOU MUST HAVE
• Minimum of 8+ yearsof experience in procurement or supply chain management
• Proven track recordof successfully managing large-scale procurement operations
• Strong negotiationand contract management skills
• Excellent leadershipand team management abilities
• Proficient inprocurement software and tools
