About the roleLead procurement for our Agriculture operation in one or more categories of spend, through effective business partnering and teamwork across Procurement CoE.
Procurement is seen as a source of value creation and delivery through fully demonstrating Diageo's scale, applying market knowledge, and exploiting the suppliers' capabilities in lands, goods and services in our Agriculture Category business. Procurement delivers value assurance (unit price, standard pack, minimum order quantity, just in time, etc.), value protection (management and minimization of risk), and value creation (value, efficiencies)
Procurement spending in this category has a HIGH degree of complexity due to market conditions, increased demand internal and market, and the impact on the continuous operation of the Distillery, follow the strategy for this category as Local and Global. The Procurement Manager role is aligned to categories, which require a degree of flexibility in leading data needs across all of them.
Design and implement organizational transformation processes where internal control processes and standardization of good practices are implemented with their internal key partners.
To handle an area of spend to deliver Diageo's Procurement imperatives, by leading the creation of outstanding category strategies which;
Optimize value returned to the businessMeet the business needs of each market and deliver the required levels of performanceMitigate supply riskDrive forward thinking to future proof the business deliverySupport the Sourcing in Agriculture for Own Agave to deliver value for Diageo on cost and broader value terms.Leverage in-depth knowledge and insight of supplier base to deliver against Market important metricsMaintain strong insight into the Political, Economic, Social, Technological, and Environmental complexities across the Market and Supplier baseBuild effective category strategies and tactical plays to lead the supplier base across of agriculture Category. Handle appropriate operational and financial performance relationships with suppliers.Implement and embed Supplier Performance Management framework to ensure that contracts deliver value through cost reduction and improved service and quality performanceEnsure that Supplier Performance levels continue to improve to meet wider Diageo needs and support key projects & initiativesStimulate Supplier Capabilities to generate ideas for the future.Requirements5 years of Procurement experience in leading suppliers Progressed through Procurement Manager, Supplier Performance Manager , Agriculture Manager, Sr. Supplier Performance Specialist, Sr. Category Specialist,.
