Eaton's IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Sr. Quality Engineer (Gears).**What you'll do**:**PRIMARY FUNCTION**:A. Monitors and improves a quality system in the manufacturing process. Supports other process engineers and supervisors on the tools and techniques of quality improvement. These will include problem solving techniques, Six Sigma, IATF 16949:2016, and process improvement techniques like Kaizen principles.**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:A. Develop process control plans & review data collection methods & applicability of data to operator control; assist in the development & implementation of Dynamic Control Plan (DCP)B. Assist with the implementation of quality systems (EQMS, IATF 16949:2016)C. Assist in the development of PFMEA's and PPAP'sE. Direct & conduct process potential studies & sample layout of new or revised processesF. Interact with & assist customers on quality related issues, report root cause & corrective actions back to customer support engineer; conduct customer visits if neededG. Assist in the preparation of customer required reportingH. Actively participate in manufacturing & process improvement teams as the voice of the customerI. Participate as a member of APQP teams to bring product to marketJ. Assist in the development & presentation of cost of quality measurementsK. Assist in identifying & coordinating quality related training programsL. Perform additional functions as requiredM. Leads SPC through the plantO. Promotes the company's mission and vision by actively supporting Eaton's ethics and values as well as quality policies.P. Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results.**Qualifications**:**SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE**A. Bachelor's degree in engineering (Quality, Statistics, preferred)C. English - language capability, speaking, reading and writing required.D. Certificate Quality Engineer (CQE) is a plusE. Six Sigma Blackbelt or Greenbelt would be a plusF. Strong statistics and problem solving technicsG. Strong communication skillsH. Thorough knowledge of statistics & statistical process control, including gauge repeatability & reproducibility studiesJ. Strong knowledge of geometric dimensioning & tolerance (GD&T) principlesK. Strong knowledge of AIAG and IATF 16949:2016 standardsL. Proficiency in problem solving & quality techniques including:- SPC- PFMEA- PPAP- 8-D problem solving- APQP- MSA- Capability Analysis- Problem Solving- VOCM. Ability to communicate in the English language (80%)N. Knowledge of Automotive Standards and Supplier Quality Manuals.O. Knowledge in internal cracks inspection by magnaflux would be a plus.P. Knowledges in tools for the manufacture of gearsQ. Knowledges in Data Matrix (2D Code), programming would be a plus.R.
