Eaton's AER FED Fluid Electrical Distribution division is currently seeking a Senior Tooling Engineer.**What you'll do**:**Primary Function**:Tooling Focal for the Tijuana Metal Forming Business. Establishes standards for, and directs activities pertaining to, the design, fabrication, inspection, and control of production fixtures and specialized tooling.The position drives continuous improvement while utilizing the framework of the Eaton Business System (EBS) and the Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF).**Essential Functions**:- Design and manufacture Complex tooling and mylars in support of Manufacturing.- Gather tooling requirements from manufacturing engineering and product drawings/specifications.- Provide tool usage documentation.- Guide Quality Assurance personnel with tool inspection plans, interpretation of inspection data, and plans for problem resolution.- Guide Tool Room personnel in process of manufacturing and repairing tooling.- Create tooling inspection requirements for new tooling.- Interpret customer inspection requirements for existing or customer-controlled tooling.- Manufacture Tooling/ Rapid Tooling components and oversee.- Work with EIEC Tool Design group to provide reference models and design oversight for tooling designed for Tijuana.- Deploy tool fabrication methodology to support NPD/STP transition projects using designs from EATON EIEC and TJ from other EATON Sites- Follow up to manufacture, assembly, and calibration of fixtures for internal production & follow up to quotations, requisitions, manufacture and deliver to plant of fixtures with external suppliers.LI-DS1**Qualifications**:**Basic qualifications**:- Bachelor's degree- 3 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing work specializing in Complex tool design and machining, Digital Assembly, and Integration of Machining Centers equipment.- Experience operating traditional machine shop equipment including lathe and mill and CNC machining Centers and accessories- Experience with Advanced inspection techniques- Bilingual English/ Spanish- Strong communication skills- Computer Skills, including ability to use all MS office software- Advanced Blueprint reading- CATIA, ProEngineer, Solid Works- CNC programming skills is a plus.**Preferred Specialized Knowledge (not required to be qualified for position)**:- Aerospace experience preferred- Excellent communication skills to interact at all levels within and outside the OrganizationWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for job applicants and employees.
