Working as a Project Engineer, you will implement automation applications with the collaboration of experienced engineers. As you advance you will develop the necessary skills to begin designing concepts for new applications, supervising trainees, managing projects, and training of less experienced engineers.You will provide our customers with state-of-the-art automation solutions. Your projects will include optimizing existing systems and integrating new solutions involving PLCs, industrial computers, process instrumentation, project management and other control devices. This position is responsible for materials specification, design, development, and commissioning customer specific software solutions using PLC and HMI programming. You will also perform service calls on direct projects or other engineers' projects as needed.Here in Mexico, the B&R Team is integrated in the structure of ABB Mexico having our offices in Querétaro.
This position reports toSales Manager
Your responsibilitiesOffer technical training to customers in several technologies.Review automation application needs and document requirements.Estimate implementation effort to develop automation applications.Create project plans.Develop and document control application designs and formal test plans and scripts, then execute testing.Program automation applications.Troubleshoot and resolve application issues.Track and report project status.Travel to customer locations to resolve technical problems.Your backgroundBachelor's degree in Mechatronics or Robotics.Experience in the automation industry of at least 5 years.Experience in Project Management.Experience in machine automation projects from creating specification and programming to commissioning and after–sales field services.Experience in motion control and machine vision. In mechatronics systems is a plus.Experience with B&R Automation Studio is a plus.Initiative, problem solving ability, communication skills, ownership, independent worker, creativity and ability to make decisions.Excellent communication skills and strong customer–service ethics.Valid visa and passport is desirable.Fluent English in needed.More about usWe look forward to receiving your application (documents submitted in English are appreciated).
