ABOUT THIS ROLE Our technology teams play a key role in connecting listeners with millions of stories by imagining, designing, developing and testing the software and applications that make up Audible's platform. As a Support Engineering Manager, you'll anticipate and seek out obstacles before they occur, and implement solutions that allow our engineers to fulfill strategic and tactical business goals. You'll coach teams to deliver visionary products and programs to deliver the most value for our millions of customers. As a Senior Director, Support Engineering, you will - Independently lead one or multiple teams of Support Engineering Managers and Support Engineers. - Work with your team to take ownership of critical technologies or major products. - Collaborate and communicate to define the functional and technical architecture of engineering teams, making sure that they align with Audible's business strategy and priorities. - Apply your analytical skills to solve complex issues by considering their interrelationships and organizational impacts. - Partner with business leaders, technical managers and Senior/Principal Engineers to determine the long-term potentials of architectures and product offerings. We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Mexico City, DIF, MEX BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 10 years of engineering or relevant experience. - 5 years of people management experience, specifically building and leading high-performance engineering teams. - Experience collaborating with and influencing technical leaders. - Experience in creating communication strategies that engage and impact internal and external stakeholders. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience leading a Support Engineering organization. - Experience in budget and financial management. - An ability to create structure out of ambiguity and bring technical visions to life. - An understanding and familiarity with AWS technologies at scale in a production environment.
