Position Purpose: HBS North America is seeking a Lead Attorney who will be responsible for installation, service, energy, and general construction contract management for HBS. The position will report to the General Counsel HBS and provide leadership, direction, and consultation to the HBS Latin American and North America business team in support of business objectives. This role will help the organization achieve its goals and objectives while satisfying its customers. Responsibilities: Support new business development activities, including cross-functional review of construction contracts and related documents. Evaluate and resolve complex business issues and assist in setting appropriate strategies relating to contract negotiation and claims resolution. Ensure consistency and legal compliance with respect to Honeywell offerings and marketing materials, contract management and risk assessment policies, and Honeywell policy in Latin America. Provide advice on a wide range of supply chain and procurement related legal and business matters, including supplier disputes, subcontractor negotiations, and labor reform. Negotiate difficult and complex contractual issues. Draft, analyze, interpret, and develop contract terms and conditions. Oversee, advise, and support change order negotiations. Provide critical information for the HBS North America leadership team. Deploy training on terms and conditions, corporate policies and risk mitigation. Update standard contract documentation and templates. Advise and assist management team in opportunity/risk assessment. You Must Have: Law Degree and be registered to practice law in Mexico (or another Spanish speaking jurisdiction in Latin America). At least 8 years of professional legal experience with a multi-national corporation and/or law firm, preferably with demonstrated proficiency in drafting and negotiating complex contracts in both English and Spanish. Good knowledge of labor subcontracting laws in Mexico. English fluency. Flexibility to travel to visit customers with the HBS team.
