Description RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Understanding the business client's strategy, underlying economics and its organization and have the ability to provide input to be able to move the strategy into action. Serve as a strategic partner providing advice and counsel to maximize staffing resources and performance, ensure economy and efficiency of work processes, and contain institutional risk. As needed, serve as primary liaison for all regional HR matters. Determine the specific HR needs in the areas of organization design, staffing, talent and performance management objective setting, succession planning, training, and communication. Being accountable for the timely execution of all deliverables and delivery of the results, including the areas of organizational design, development & effectiveness; process improvement; employee relations; labor relations; performance management; corrective performance actions; staffing support; compensation program administration; affirmative action; legal and company policy compliance; HR policy interpretation and administration; training & development coordination; and special projects. Ensures a climate of positive labor relations; negotiates collective bargaining agreements; ensures adherence to terms of collective agreements; ensures grievances are managed appropriately and timely; consults with unions when and as appropriate to circumstances. Recommend innovative approaches, policies and procedures to affect continual improvements in efficiency of the HR function and services performed. Manages compliance efforts in assigned client group for code of conduct, and other local country, regional and company human resources regulations Leads managers in driving and executing all short and long-term strategic initiatives Responsible for assigning goals and objectives for staff, as well as evaluating staff performance and identifying potential; creates a continuous improvement environment. Promotes and takes responsibility for teamwork and positive employee/labor relations by practicing effective conflict management to resolve issues Seeks feedback from team members on own leadership style, accessibility, and support. Approves and provides input on hiring, termination, performance, and pay-related decisions. Acts as an effective leader by guiding and inspiring individuals and teams towards the achievement of goals. Ensures that staffs are managed within the context of corporate vision, mission, values, and code of conduct. Establishes specific client expectations regarding anticipated hiring needs to ensure that high caliber candidates are brought into the organization meeting client/organizational expectations for time-to-fill and cost-to-fill. Works with Global Compensation team to develop specific actions to ensure that all compensation programs are effectively administered within authorized budget and timeframes, including annual merit pay process, bonus plans, incentive plans, job grading and evaluation processes, new hire offers, market reviews, retention issues, etc. Work with Corporate Benefits group on design, implementation of executive program. Work closely with local benefit carriers and brokers to resolve employee benefits issues. Implement new benefits programs with clear and specific accountability and timelines assigned and executed EXPERIENCE Experience leading an HR function in a multi-national consumer packaged goods company is preferred as well as working with union employee populations and negotiating union contracts KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES S/BA in HR/Industrial Relations/Business or equivalent work experience; MBA or advanced degree preferred with certified HR designation. Create trusted relationships with business leadership teams to influence and enable leaders to implement the strategic growth agenda. Agile and capable of providing thought leadership in a fast-paced team environment. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Able to provide direct HR support for both tactical and strategic business issues. Strong organizational and project management skills Creative and detail-oriented in ambiguous situations Demonstrates a high level of accountability for results Strong execution and planning skills High level of business acumen Requires fluency in Spanish and English with strong verbal and written communication skills and the proven ability to communicate effectively J-18808-Ljbffr
