Objective: Coordinate the general activities of Cost Estimating (unit price analysis) in one or more major complex projects; assume responsibility for the preparation, quality, and accuracy of project cost estimate reports; establish communication with project management and clients in all matters related to cost estimation; Assign and review the work of the cost estimating and unit price analysis staff who are in charge. Responsibilities: Must have extensive knowledge of the principles and best practices in the preparation of cost estimates and analysis of unit prices of the mining sector (AACE standards, unit price matrices, CBS, etc.) You must be able to develop conclusions from the analysis and apply the results to the business operations of the company. Decisions are usually based on great business acumen and experience. Provide support in the identification, analysis, and provision innovative solutions for cost estimation. Provide support in the development of standards, procedures and estimation systems for tenders and proposals. Work with the team to define an appropriate work breakdown structure (CBS). Prepare the cost estimation plan where it will include the estimation and cost methodology, estimating principles applicable to the preparation of budgets. It will support in the collection, verification, and integration of the scope of work in the cost estimation. Compare and analyze quantities and costs between projects and have the ability to make comparisons with previous supplier estimates and prices, make baseline estimates through level norms and mining industry standards. Develop a scale model when needed. Requirements: Education: Degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial, or related career. Experience: More than 15 years of relevant experience. You will need to be recognized as a specialist. Experience in Mining Projects Software: Neodata, OPUS, Cleopatra Excel at intermediate level (graphs, databases, pivot tables, complex formulas).
