The Role A Principal Consultant Engineer is required to join the Engineering Services Group located at AspenTech's Mexico City office. The group offers project implementation services to the Refining, Petrochemical and Chemical industries. Services are based on the development of simulation models for industrial processes and utilities systems. The models are steady state or dynamic, offline or online real time and used for process improvement studies, process monitoring, process optimization and energy / emissions reduction. Your Impact The Principal Consultant Engineer manages the technical delivery/implementation and deployment of the solution to the customer ensuring projects achieve or exceed stated milestones, delivery dates and financial goals. The Senior Principal Consultant Engineer acts as the technical lead on medium and larger projects and provide guidance and advice to less experienced team members to ensure customer satisfaction. Be the technical lead on medium and larger projects; dealing effectively with technical issues to ensure customer satisfaction and assigning tasks to the team members Review process flow diagrams, process & instrumentation diagrams, mass balances, actual plant data, process descriptions and process manuals Implement projects using AspenTech's process simulation software Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, and others Participate in client meetings, prepare project documentations/reports and assist with user training as necessary. Confidently communicate with and present results to clients Work co-operatively with the AspenTech extended team in Sales, Support, Product Management and Research & Development, and Partners to ensure successful project delivery and completion What You'll Need BSc or higher in Chemical or Process Engineering. Proven knowledge of some major industrial processes in Refining or Chemicals. Proven track record in engineering and demonstrated commitment to delivering continuous improvement and effective solutions Previous experience in a process plant design or an operational environment is highly advantageous. Verifiable ability to use and apply process simulation and design tools from AspenTech or other Software vendors. Advanced level use of Microsoft Office. Experience with C++ or other programming languages highly advantageous Experience in the development and maintenance of process project deliverables Competencies Good communication and presentation skills Strong ability to maintain good working relationship with customers Proactive problem solver with strong analytical skills Must be able to work within a team environment Excellent English verbal and writing skills A certain amount of travel (national and international) may be required (up to 10-20% of the time) J-18808-Ljbffr
