DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:
Manage 1 to 2 projects within a project-based delivery modelUnderstand key business drivers and uses this knowledge to accomplish project workMaintain all project related documentation, including project plans, process flows/VSM's, resource requirements and business casesCommunicate project progress and facilitate project-related meetings to meet deliverables; Escalate quickly as necessaryLead change management with all stakeholders – internal and external; Lead without authority and be confident and assertive with a willingness to challenge appropriatelyServe as the single point of contact and be accountable for all project related activities & requestsDeliver projects on time and in budget with quality solutionsOffer solutions for improving our tools and processesBuild rapport with project team and customer stakeholdersAnticipate internal and external challengesProvide informal guidance to new team membersSolve problems in straightforward situations; analyzes possible solutions using technical experience and judgment and precedentsTrack and report project financials (budgeted vs actual) for allocated resource hours and billingsProvide support as necessary to TMC Sales TeamCollaborate with TMC project teams and provide support during "Go-Live"Successfully transfer knowledge to Operations Teams as documented throughout project lifecycleContribute toward development of tools, methodologies, and presentations for TMC ImplementationEnsure compliance to SOC processSuccessfully execute the TMC Process Transformation Methodology, including:Document customer expectations for the TMCCapture the current processes of the customerDocument the results of the Implementation SurveyDocument & contribute to the design of Future StateSupport creation of customer process mapsDocument changes in roles and responsibilitiesIdentify opportunities for process improvement to increase productivity for all constituents (customer, carrier, supplier, customer's clients, and TMC)Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirementsQUALIFICATIONS Required:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/universityMinimum 2 years of technical project management experienceSix Sigma, Lean, TQM or process improvement experienceSupply Chain, Logistics, and/or Transportation experienceAbility to work flexible hours (some weekend/late hours may be required)Ability to travel up to 20% (domestically and/or internationally)Preferred:
Project Management Professional certification preferredProject management experience, with the proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyCommunicates complex ideas, anticipates potential objections, and persuades others, often at senior levels, to adopt a different point of viewStrong communication skills: strong listener with exceptional facilitation skills and the ability to tell the story and connect to your audienceAbility to organize, design, develop and deliver projects for internal and external audiences at all levelsAbility to collaborate effectively with subject matter experts internally and externally at all levelsExperience working and thriving in a continuous improvement environmentExperience with lean processes and tools such as value stream mapping, A3 project management, visual management, Pareto Analysis, and fishbone diagramsExperience and comfort in dealing with ambiguity and able to deliver with minimal oversightExperience working directly with customersProficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programsValues a diverse and inclusive work environmentDisclaimer: This job description is intended to generally describe the nature and level of work to be performed by employees in this position.
