Latin American country operations include Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru.About the role:The **HR Manager** contributes towards the development and execution of the human resources strategy and practices. This role is a key part in the promotion of engagement and safety initiatives, as well as in creating an employee-oriented workplace and a high performance culture.What you need:- University degree essential (will be requested during background checks process).- Significant HR management experience within a large Corporate environment (At least 6+ years of experience)- Proficient Spanish & English Skills- Experience in the Auto financing industry desirable but not essential- Previous experience as an HR business partner- Knowledge of principles, practices and standards of human resource administration.- Good understanding of employment legislation in Mexico.- Ability to engage and build effective relationships at all levels.- Uses own initiative and can work independently on a broad variety of projects.- Able to deliver effective results, meet tight deadlines and demanding targets.- Strong organizational and time management discipline.- Ability to multi-task and operate effectively in ambiguous situations.- Strong level of influence and negotiation skills.- Flexible approach to work.- Questioning the status quo and thinking "outside the box" to improve processes.- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal- Proven ability to lead and manage changeWhat you will be doing:- Support employees with benefit-related issues by escalating their problems through the appropriate channels- Efficiently and effectible lead the Immigration administration to ensure compliance according to the law and support to foreign employees and expatriates.- Work with the Payroll department on payroll-related activities- Ensure the relevant HR databases and systems are working correctly and up to date (Oracle, Kronos)- Administer benefits vendors, to ensure a high quality service is available for employees.- Influence leaders and managers to embrace the Company values, Excellence, Integrity, and Teamwork, and to align behaviors / competencies to agreed framework.- Propose and implement activities to drive 'Culture to win' and Diversity & Inclusion efforts.- Take an active role in promoting a working environment that drives engagement, attracts and retains a talented workforce.- Provide active support and encouragement to promote employee relation resolutions.- Integrate the HR functions and Centers of Excellence (ie. Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Comp & Ben, etc.) to provide a consistent service and assistance to the employees at the countries.- Implement and execute human resource-related initiatives that support organizational strategic goals.- Engage with employees and managers to improve work relationships, increase employee engagement and satisfaction, productivity and retention- Design and implement a calendar of events to increase employee engagement.- Ensure employee communications are impactful and fit for purpose.- Actively drive Engagement Surveys and ensure employee voice remains a high priority for Leaders.- Work with leaders to ensure SMART goals are set throughout business and delivered align to function overall performance goals;- Ensuring a continual high performance working culture is embedded and employee performance is consistently prioritised.- Support the Talent Management team in all the Talent Development strategies and processes- Actively participate in Talent discussions, to ensure High Potential and Low Performers are correctly identified and have robust development plans in place- Challenge and support leaders in the implementation and follow up of Performance Improvement Plans- Ensure a steady pipeline of Interns across business functions.- Ensure a strong onboarding process is followed for all new hires in scope.What we offer:At GM Financial we want you to be the most authentic version of yourself.
