Genx/Ge90 Configurations Engineer - Co-Op/Intern

**Job Description Summary**: In this position, the Intern will provide support to the design activities related to external configuration hardware (i.e. tubes, hoses, manifolds, brackets, harnesses, and similar), in a multi-functional team environment; you will work together with the hardware owners supporting activities of engineering projects, for an aerospace product that will provide you with exposure and experience while helping the team developing solutions for the GEnx/GE90 platforms.**Essential responsibilities**- Support, with guidance, the solution of problems of limited scope and complexity for the externals configuration components, assemblies and/or systems, and meet business standards and program / product requirements- Document technical data generated to substantiate the assigned components, assemblies and/or systems consistent with engineering policies and procedures- Participate in technical and program reviews- Provide timely communication on significant issues to key stakeholders- Solve problems of limited scope and complexity- Use Lean tools to improve assigned project- Support the team on the development of Lean tools- Work within the guidelines of applicable GE Policies and Procedures, Engineering Standards, Design Customer Operating Procedures, Specifications, Government and Commercial Standards, and special security requirements- Concurrently work on multiple tasks, monitoring progress and quality, and ensuring schedule requirements are met- Self-check of work**Qualifications/Requirements**- Engineering student (Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, or similar)- College graduation not sooner than June 2024- Effective written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish- English skills: must be able to maintain a simple conversation in English.- Presentation skills: ability to communicate with Senior Leadership.- Demonstrated ability in managing own projects- Effective problem identification and solution skills- Proven analytical and organizational abilities- Experience with visual management tools is a plus- Full-time job: 40hours per week- In-person work is required at GEIQ offices in Queretaro, Mex.**Desired characteristics**- Demonstrated sense of urgency- Strong problem-solving skills with guidance- Open team player and strong interpersonal skills**Additional Information**:**Relocation Assistance Provided**:No
