Dimensional Engineer N6

Job Description: Coordinates work share with other regional partners relative to creation and development of dimensional reports using Siemens Dimensional Planning & Validation (DPV) software. These reports are utilized to present data information for CMM, vision, handheld, and scanning inspection routines in a user-friendly manner and posted in the Global Dimensional Information System (GDIS) to support dimensional activities during launch of new vehicle programs and steady state.
Monitor manufacturing dimensional data flow for plants assigned closely, troubleshoot and resolve data flow issues in a timely manner. Works closely with Launch team, Plant personnel, and suppliers to ensure timely completion of projects.
Monitor, prioritize and respond to Plant Requests for updates, corrections, maintenance issues, new data flow routines & create reports for the web.
Partners with technical customers to support analysis of data and solve issues.
Provides technical assistance and training to use DPV software/analysis tools, GDIS, and General Motors business process and standards for flowing dimensional data and creation of various standard web based dimensional reports.
Actively support the teams improvement of business tools and processes related to DPV and business processes to support dimensional data flow and report creation.
Support global Teamcenter and DPV software testing events (Coordination with IT, Development) including, but not limited to, defining the scope, develop and write test cases for an international audience.
Develop SME skillset in Siemens DPV Reporting and Analysis toolset (Teamcenter DPV concepts, Factorylink, SSRS, TCC).
