As a member of the Lifestyle studio, you will be a part of a team that creates impactful and memorable experiences in the retail, hospitality, restaurant, mixed use, and residential markets. What You Will DoWorking with Design Director(s) and project team(s), participate in all project phases, including programming client needs, conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, FF&E sourcing and specifications, and construction documents Collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project objectivesResolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutionsProduce graphic presentations, 3D visualizations, and construction drawingsDevelop and exhibit self-direction and curiosity while working in a collaborative environmentAssist in managing client expectations and team communicationContribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programsYour QualificationsBachelor of Architecture, Interior Architecture, or foreign equivalent5+ years of professional commercial design experience focusing on retail design and deliveryProficiency in REVIT, Sketch Up, Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft Office100% bilingual English/Spanish, well written, with excellent verbal communication skills.Intermediate understanding of design theories, furniture, finishes, materials, and color selectionsStrong understanding for the development of FF&E SpecificationsStrong graphic and visualization skills to communicate design ideasStrong organizations skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same timeFamiliar with retail related ADA compliance and building codesLife at GenslerAt Gensler, we are as committed to enjoying life as we are to delivering best-in-class design.
