Deputy Controller, Global Pe Re Fund, Mexico City

**About our client**Our client is a global private equity fund with a solid presence in the industrial real estate throughout Mexico. The fund has created an exciting new position as a Deputy Controller. You will have an opportunity to lead a team overseeing day-to-day operations. The role is based in Mexico City.**What the job involves**xxxxx xxxxxx xxxxxx. (optional)- Assist in the preparation and review of quarterly, and year-end financial statements under IFRS.- Ensure timely reporting of all monthly and annual financial information.- Manage the monthly and annual audit reports and documents.- Assist leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process.- Track payments against budget and forecasts.- Review and analyze existing policies and procedures for efficiency and effectiveness.- Create and present financial and tax strategy recommendations to senior management.- Review compliance reporting.- Supervise and develop staff (establish performance standards and expectations for staff and review work assignments both in-progress and when completed)- Manage external consultants, service providers, and commercial counterparties, including auditors, legal counsel, and tax advisors.**Who we are looking for**- Solid experience in accounting management, tax and/or financial reporting. Knowledge of the real estate sector is desirable.- Ample knowledge about IFRS, international accounting, MEX GAAP, and tax.- Bachelor's degree in accounting.- Experience building and leading high performing teams.- Exceptional interpersonal and team leadership skills.- Fluency in English is mandatory.
