About the role - What you need to know: Collection Leader is responsible for overseeing and managing the collections department, review open accounts, identify issues attributing to account delinquency and discuss them with the line business manager. Oversee the local Mexico Collections team, working closely with product towers, Finance, and Operations to help identify and improve process controls. Assist projects related to the Collections processes. Management and development the team. Preparing monthly KPIs on payment collections.
This role also include:
Team Leadership: Providing effective leadership, conducting regular performance evaluations, fostering a positive work environment.
Recovery Strategy: developing and implementing strategies and initiatives to optimize collections efforts
Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with our clients (internal and external)
Performance Monitoring: monitoring the performance of collections team, tracking key metrics, such as aging reports, Bad debt reserve and recovery ratios. Analyze data to identify trends, areas for improvements and implement new strategies to enhance overall performance.
Process Improvement: Continuously assessing and improving collections process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Reporting and Analysis: Generating regular reports and presenting findings to senior Management (Regional, COO and CFO)
Compliance: ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies in all collections activities. Working with the best practices and regulatory changes, implementing necessary adjustments to maintain legal collections practices.
What we're looking for: Minimum experience of 5 years as a Coordinator or in a similar position in insurance companies.Good knowledge in a Collections Processes, Finance and Accounting.Strong customer service and client relationship building skills Ability to lead and development the teamEnglish level knowledge: advanced.General understanding of accounts receivable and billing processing.Committed, organized and analytical.Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.Efficient time management.Persistent, proactive and engagement are essentialExcellent interpersonal skillStrong problem-solving skills.Willing and able to adapt to change.Ability to perform multiple tasks and work under pressure. This is a key position for the collection department.  This role is responsible for leading and managing collections team to ensure that the Company outstanding debts are collected efficiently and effectively. This is a critical role in maximizing debt recovery, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining positive relationships with business line, Distribution and Customers.
The role will also have the ability a strong understanding of the collections process and regulatory requirements.
Other activities include:  
Manage the team, providing guidance, support, regular feedbacks and coaching to improve performance and productivity. 
Develop and implement strategies to optimize collections processes and procedures, aiming to improve overall efficiency and maximize recovery.
Manage and report on collections performance, providing regular updates to Regional Manager, COO and CFO.
Collaborate with other departments such as Finance, Legal, to resolve complex collection issues and escalate cases when necessary
Prepare regular reports with accurate and up-to-date information on collections performance
This role is crucial in ensuring accurate, timely and effective collections process.
