Application Engineer - Telehandlers page is loaded Application Engineer - Telehandlers Apply locations MX-Monterrey time type Full time posted on Posted Today job requisition id REQ-2023-3983 Job Description: Position Overview: As an Application Engineer you will provide product and application expertise to the global engineering, sales and marketing teams to support product development, product improvement and sales execution. You will also provide significant support to product management during various phases in terms of voice of the customer collection/communication, development of functional specifications and critical customer requirements and competitive benchmarking and analysis. Additionally, you will support the day-to-day operations of product management and project execution. This position may require travel with the product management, service, and sales teams up to 25%.
Main Tasks / Responsibilities: Be a product and application subject matter expert for telehandlers.Active leadership in product development and product improvement to ensure application requirements and voice of customer are incorporated.Develop product specifications to maximise customer value and differentiation in the market while minimizing cost.Develop product use cases and duty cycles to inform product design and testing.Provide excellent internal customer support on product specific issues and new opportunities.Identify opportunities for differentiation of our products, services, and solutions that result in industry leading new products and offerings.Make recommendations for innovative solutions to improve our short-term and long-term competitive position.Prioritize and execute on projects, considering customer impact versus available resources.Perform other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position.Requires the ability to travel up to 25% and flexibility to work across different time zones.Education / qualifications: Technical / Engineering Degree or similar experienceMaster's degree in business or engineering highly desirableKnowledge of business financials English proficiency, additional languages are beneficial. Skills and Experience: Demonstrated success of working well with ambiguity, including prioritizing, and driving your own work and cross functional problem solving.Operationally strong with excellent attention to detail and demonstrated ability to work independently.Expert experience working in a manufacturing environment in an engineering role (industrial, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering).Knowledge of the principles and practices involved in new business development, product marketing, and sales.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships, influence and lead others, and prepare and deliver formal presentations and training.Strong prioritization, time management and project management skills.Ability to collect, analyse and use data to support the best business decisions.Must be comfortable demonstrating the complete line of Genie products working at full-extension heights.Proficient with IT tools and applications including Microsoft Office suite.Ability to work effectively in a multi-dimensional, multi-cultural global organization.
